This is a little messenger bag for American Girl dolls (or any 18inch doll).  I made it using the McCalls Pattern #3469.

Valentine Cookie Bags

I made these little tags using some simple punches.  They will be used to decorate goody bags.

I saw these online (sorry, I can't remember where) and decided to make them myself. Just dip your fortune cookie in chocolate and sprinkle. I used white candy melts.  Easy!

I put the fortune cookies together with some decorated sugar cookies.  I added the tags with some red and white baker's twine.  Now these cookies will be shipped off to some hungry college kids.

Jar of Whimsy Swap

I just did my first "Jar of Whimsy" swap.  The idea is to fill your jar with fun little stuff and ship it to your swap partner.  Judean was my jar buddy. She sent me the most awesome jar full of goodies!

I meant to take a picture of it full, but I was so excited that I dumped it without thinking.  It came wrapped in this cute scarf and has a darling little banner around the lid.

Here are all of the treasures that were inside.  How did she pack all of this wonderfulness in the that jar?  I bet I couldn't get it back in if I tried. LOL!  I just love it!!

This is the jar I sent to Judean.

Build A Bear Cake

I made this little guy using my Build A Bear cake pan.  Mine came from William Sonoma. I don't think they sell it anymore, but you can still find them online.  He was super easy to make and his bottom is flat so he sits on the cake board nicely. The pan came with a pattern for cutting the shapes to make eyes, nose, mouth, etc. You cut those out of fondant. It even came with a pattern to make it some little clothes, but I thought he was cute this way, so I left him in his birthday suit.
You can even add a little fondant heart for Valentine's Day.

Quick and Easy Camera Strap Cover

This cover is not attached to the strap so you can change it out when you want. I only wanted to cover the mesh part of my strap, so I cut my fabric into 2 3/4 in x 24 inch strips. You measurements may be different, depending on how wide/long your strap is. To make them a little more sturdy, I added a some iron-on fusible webbing. Basically just sew them together on one side (pattern sides facing each other).  Then sew a seam at the top and bottom. After that, with the pattern sides facing each other, sew the other side together.  Now you will have a tube that you will need to turn right side out.  Iron it flat, and you are done.
