Trick or TREAT?

This is a little Halloween treat I put together for some of the ladies I crochet with.  Of course there is real candy, but I also included  a crochet Amigurumi candy corn too.  To make the cute little candy corn use the Lion Brand pattern that you can find here.

The little owl is from Stampin' Up!

Grow your own Zombie!

This is an idea I found on Pinterest.  {Don't you just love Pinterest?!?}  My family is zombie crazy, so I knew I had to make it.  The one I pinned went back to a photo and not a web site with instructions, so I just tried to make it based on the picture.

My kids and I made our own hand with plaster, but you can get a hand (and other body parts) at the Dollar Tree.  After the hand was dry I painted it with craft paint that was a mix of gray and a little peach color.  Then I watered down some dark gray to rub into the wrinkles and around the finger nails.  I painted a terracotta pot, filled it with dirt, then stuck the hand in.  Pretty easy, right?  I found a link online that had a printable plant label you can use as the information stake.  It's like the ones you find in new plants, only zombiefied. It looks very similar to the one they used on the original pin. Here is the link: zombie plant label

Crochet Scarf

It's starting to feel like fall in my neck of the woods, so I have been crocheting a few scarfs.  Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of all but this one.  I used Lion Brand Home Spun yarn and a Lion Brand pattern.  At the bottom I just added the fringe and made one big knot.  I found this yarn a little har to work with. Because of the curly texture, it wasn't easy to see my stitches.  I like the finished look though. Here is link to the pattern

Witchy Mae

Some Odd Girl is having a Sketch Challenge and this card is my entry.  I used the Witchy Mae digi stamp.  She is colored with Copic markers.  The plaid paper is from Stampin Up! and the house border punch is from Fiskars.

Witchy Mae...isn't she spooktacular.

Halloween Candy and Cookies

Here is a quick and easy treat you can make for any Halloween event. I made these coffin candy boxes using a Wilton mold, black candy melts, and luster dust.  They are super easy...just melt the candy and pour it in the mold.  Pop them in the fridge until they are nice and solid, then they just slide right out of the mold.  I brushed a little luster dust on the tops, but they look great without any decoration too. I filled it with mini m&m's and the entire treat is edible.

Wrap them up with some Halloween ribbon and you have a quick treat for your ghoul's night out.
Tag is made using a Stampin' Up! stamp.

I also made some cookies.  This was my very sad and rushed attempt at a Jack Skellington cookie.

I want to share some cute cards with you that I recently made at a card class (hosted and taught by my talented friend Patty).  They are all made using paper punches and they are spooktacular!!
